Here at Mawsley CP School we offer a before and after school club. Below you will find details of when the clubs run, the cost and how to book places.
Before school - 7.45am – 8.45am - £5.00

After school - 3.15pm – 6.00pm - £12.00

So, what does this club ‘look like’? Well, Mawsley School is often described as ‘one big family’ and this is really evident at our Breakfast and After School Club. Each morning, our children are met with big, friendly smiles by our Breakfast Club team, who prepare a delicious breakfast for our children of cereal, brioche and toast, with juice. The children and staff, who are all members of our daytime staff team at Mawsley School, eat together, building social skills and a sense of community, and ensure that they are all feeling ready for an exciting day of learning ahead. Activities to enjoy together after breakfast include crafts, board games and Lego etc.

In the evening, our hungry children enjoy a filling (but not too much to spoil dinner at home!) snack, such as baked beans on toast, in addition to salad and fruit and a choice of drinks. They can participate in sports, such as kurling, basketball, archery, football, and bench-ball. Our After School Club children have lots of opportunities to use our school gym equipment, which always creates a real buzz of excitement, alongside the other popular choice of party games! For those children who prefer less sporty activities, some particular favourites recently have included: making slime, constructing various types of paper aeroplanes, participating in competitions, origami, drawing and sketching and colouring for relaxation. Our chill out area is equipped with beanbags, books and music, for those children who would just like to relax after school has finished. There are mixed ages of children at our club, allowing older ones to act as positive guides and role models for our younger children, which also develops our children’s sense of empathy for others and enables our younger children to build positive relationships with older buddies around the school. Aside from the yummy food, one child says, ‘our club is good because you get to play games’. Another states, ‘I like it because we can bring our own games and make new friends.
There is one cost for each club irrespective of how much of the session you choose to use.

There will be 24 places available at the before school club and 24 at the after school club, Monday to Friday, which can be booked via our online payment system accessed on www.scopay.com. In order to have access to the booking system you will need to complete, sign and return the terms and conditions and club register form to the school office either in hard copy or via email.

We are keen to promote our school values through opportunities to explore the outside, complete homework, develop life skills and have access to creative tasks, technology and free play in a supportive and nurturing environment. Each club will be run by two members of the school staff so they will be familiar adults to many of our children.
